“I feel very fortunate to be practicing in Austin. I grew up here and suffered from asthma and allergy when there were many fewer medicines and treatment options. It is gratifying to be able to improve patient’s health and quality of life with all the new procedures and medicines now available. Even though Austin is ‘the allergy capitol of the world,’ with proper treatment most people can feel fine and really enjoy all the wonderful things about Central Texas.”
Dr. Howland is married and has two adult children. In addition to practicing medicine, he plays in a local Rock and Roll Band and enjoys the local music scene.

All of our nurses are RNs or LVNs and are highly trained in allergy and asthma. They are compassionate and able to work well even with our youngest patients. The nurses provide patient education and frequently communicate with patients on the phone. They use a computerized system with scan cards and bar codes to carefully monitor the doses of allergy shots for our patients.
