Spring tree pollens have been high and are causing lots of allergy problems all over Austin. It may not be the dreaded cedar season but it is nothing to be discounted. If you are allergic to any kind of oak pollen then you are allergic to all kinds of oak pollen and the oak pollen is everywhere this time of year.
With so many allergy medications over the counter now it can be hard to know what to choose and what will really help. Nasal cortisone (steroid) sprays are generally the most effective and are recommended for first line therapy by Dr. Howland.
If you don’t know what to take or how to get the relief you need, don’t be afraid to see your local allergist! All you need is a consultation to get some pointers on what to take and how to get feeling better so you can get out and enjoy the springtime.
